Apothecaries' Hall

Today, I took a break from the sorting out, and went to the Quarterly Court Lunch of my London Livery Company. It was held at Apothecaries' Hall in Blackfriars' Lane. The drinks reception, before  the meal in the main banqueting hall, took place in a rather  lovely wood panelled ante room. Today its two stained glass  windows looked especially stunning. Here is one of them. It was commissioned by the Company of Apothecaries in 2017 to commemorate 400 years since the founding of  their Company, and features plants which traditionally were used for  medicinal purposes, some of which  are still used today.
When I returned to my Mum's house I found my sister had made inroads into the "Office" , (our late father 's mancave), and had discovered  all sorts of relics, including  many old photos he had taken of us as children, which we hadn't seen for a long while. We got punch drunk from our reminiscing, and went to bed rather late.
