A day of minkying about in the Botanics with the small person. And I bought another Erythronium to add to my little patch. Then it was off to squeeze into a very busy Diggers and as it was Big Phil’s 73rd we had a good turnout. Everyone except Big Phil in fact, who for some reason has taken himself off to the wilds. Surely the wallet of a man like him with his generous NHS retirement package could have stretched to nine whiskies? We’ll nail him next week.
