Classic Books
An entertaining meeting of the Baker’s Dozen Discussion Group this morning.
For ten years of his life our Chairman was the owner of a well known second hand bookstore in our area.
He entertained us with stories of the pleasures and hazards of, running such a store. We heard tales about the customers and staff. Some of the former were well known names, some were real characters and all but a small number were agreeable. As we are all bookish people we had plenty to say.
As I was out all morning and have to stayin this afternoon there was not much chance of my normal type of Blip
But by swivelling round my armchair I found myself facing this subject appropriate to the day.
