Between fen and mountains

River crossing

It has been another dull and rainy day. I made more bread to put in the freezer as I will not be able to make any when the new kitchen is being installed. Later in the morning I went out for a walk even though it was still drizzling. I walked down to the river crossing. Two footbridges have been swept away in recent years after heavy rain. These heavy boulders should stay put but they do require a certain amount of agility to cross especially from the first stone to the second where a little leap is required. There are certainly quite a few people who would not attempt it. In the afternoon, I went for another session with the physiotherapist who worked on my elbow. He used a TENS machine, an arnica cooling gel and massage and then set me off on various exercises. He thinks I should have around ten sessions. I am very pleased that such treatments are easily available on the health service for relatively minor ailments.
