Magnolia
Today's blip is our wonderful magnolia, it's always early in coming back to life in the spring. There's lots of flower buds and some are beginning to show colour already.
The girls slept well here overnight, they woke around 7.00am. Ali was leaving at 7.30 so that was good timing.
After Ali left we had breakfast then headed for the lounge. We split the morning into playing, watching some TV and some stories. My friend Joan came in time for coffee and enjoyed being with the girls. She hasn't seen them for around 6 months so lots of changes.
We had lunch at around 12 and Bonnie was down for her nap right on schedule at 1. Ali arrived not long after to Josie's delight.
In the meantime, Colin had gone to pick up the older girls and bring them back to join us. I think it's the first time we've had all four girls on our own! Colin and Isobel then headed off to Isobel's dance class and Ali took Josie for her swimming Lesson. Eilidh and I enjoyed the peace.there was more coming and going as Katy came to pick up Eilidh and go and get Isobel.
Bonnie woke up happy and Ali and her girls headed off at around 4.30. Colin and I both went for a lie down!
Colin has gone out to a concert this evening so I'm relaxing and heading for an early night.
Our (hot) bath tap has developed a drip which I can't stop. We have a contract with British Gas and to my delight they said they would send someone out today.
Two hours later the phone call came. Sorry we aren't going to make it after all. I could have predicted it. Their base is in Tranent. It's happened before - we are at the wrong end of town for a late afternoon job. They're going to try to 'fit us in' on Sunday which is a pain as we have the Bishop coming to church and we're both involved. My pleas about two days of hot water dripping down the plughole fell on deaf ears. Fingers crossed that they come.
