So blue

Woke to grey skies - we’re not used to that!
Had breakfast with the family and then reluctantly waved them off as they continued their journey south. But it won’t be long before we see them again - hopefully catching our niece again in NZ when we get to Christchurch.
We started north, stopping for a coffee in Ross - a gold town, or was -no a rather quirky middle-of-nowhere town.
And then on to Hokitika and a walk round another quirky town.
We drove out to Hokitika gorge and walked the lookout path to take in the views. We were there late afternoon and thought it might be quiet but as seems to be the way, there were many cars and campervans. It didn’t feel busy once out on the walk though and great to see this blue blue river, running down from the glaciers.
Our final stop was Greymouth, at a large campsite alongside the very very long, grey beach.
