Speedy Edinburgh
Today’s blip is of the Scott Monument in Princes Street, taken on our speedy trip into the city to collect Martin’s new iPad from the Apple shop. Indeed, we were in and out of the city and back home in under an hour, courtesy of using the train instead of the car or bus.
The Scott Monument celebrates Scottish author Sir Walter Scott. It is the second-largest monument to a writer in the world after the Jose Marti monument in Havana.
The reason we were in and out so quickly, is that we are meeting our pal Murdo for lunch at our local Lido restaurant at 12.15, which was the only available time left. It’s good to see that this restaurant is doing well.
Anyway, have a good Saturday wherever you are.
