Belgium Day 5: ZOO Antwerpen

We spent a lot of the day at Antwerp's fine zoo, which is right in the city centre, adjacent to the main station...
It was a beautiful zoo (despite some of the usual concerns about large animals and enclosure sizes...); we saw too much to list, and I didn't get photographs of all the creatures, but it was a particular treat to see koalas (sleeping), to get close to birds (storks, ibises, vultures, hamerkops, spoonbills, &c.) in the "Water buffalo walkthrough", and to meet this particularly adorable green oropendola which was desperate to exchange leaves with Imogen.
