Not a good day

A 4.30 am alarm set in anticipation of the blood moon. Only to find a cloudy sky outside. Disappointed,  but never mind. 

A planned outpatient hospital appointment for 11 am for a procedure resulted in a change of plan. We received a call as we were driving there to say,  'pack an overnight bag'. We turned around and packed for the stay. G needed more tests. Spent all day, mostly in A&E and saw 7 members of staff including 5 health care professionals before eventually being admitted onto the ward. G was understandably rather stressed when advised that an operation is likely. We were also relieved to know that he is  in the best place for recovery. We messaged family and friends - good to have their support and to know that they will be there to support us.

Got home to realise that I had not eaten all day - silly mistake, which a visit to the Chinese takeaway resolved. I prefer being the ill one; G is never ill and worrying about him being unwell has not happened before; I do not like it.
