He's back...as a guest conductor

Carlos Kalmar was the Conductor of the Oregon Symphony for about 20 years, till he started teaching at the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2021, right after Covid shuttered the symphony for a year.

I made this photo of him during a pre-concert chat today, just before he re-joined his old pals for a very technically demanding concert. 

Sue and I are both so depressed about national events that we can hardly function. We take refuge in beauty to counter the daily horror show.
