Life in Sunny Dubai

All decked out

(17/3/25)

All I wanted to do was get on my laptop today, do my blip for yesterday and create a new music video, but instead, I did the ironing and other mundane things including having a nap in the afternoon!

One thing that needs to be done is to drop the car off at the garage so that they can find out what is causing the radiator water to leak. G soon came up with a plan that involved several items. First, though, we had to do the recycling, which had ended up in the boot!

We stopped at Festival City for a quick meal and also to check out M&S. My blip is the Ramadan decorations in the IKEA section of the Mall. They look much more impressive in real life.

We then dropped the car off and walked to the Metro station to come back to Wafi City. Newcastle United are playing Liverpool in the Carabao Cup and G wanted to watch the game. I have to say, I hate travelling on public transport. We had to change from the Red to the Green line. That was awful. The demand for the service far exceeds what it can cope with and the calls for the authorities for people to use public transport more is unfeasible.

Anyway, it was great to be on the Green Line which is calmer. We chose The Nine to watch the match, which was a good idea. There were mainly Newcastle supporters watching alongside us. G was super thrilled with the result. I can't imagine what celebrations will take place over the next few days. Home in a taxi. Thankfully we didn't have to battle the level of traffic we experienced at the same time last night.

PS. Forgot to mention the extras: The first one is of the Mini Mart that opened today in the building next to hours. We popped in and they stock the milk and a few other items that we use, so it will be very handy to have them so close.

The second extra was trying to get a screenshot of the Newcastle United fans waving their black and white scarfs. It looked so interesting on TV!

And lastly, my channel hit 65,000 subscribers today. I am thrilled.
