Roll With It

Running On Fumes

My brother Gary is 70 today, lots of WhatsApping amongst the family with a party on the first weekend of April to look forward to.
Coffee with Richard, a quick one, before an hour and a half’s paint stripping at the Devoran boatshed. Shopped on the way home then walked Paddy before setting off for Penzance to watch the Cornish Pirates take on the Royal Navy, picking up a friend on the way.
The natch went as expected, the professional players of the Pirates running out winners 52-14 but not as one sided as the score suggests.
Dropping my friend home instead of Helston where I picked him up meant by the time I breasted the top of the slope at Mabe the engine was missing occasionally but freewheeling down I made it to the supermarket petrol pumps.
Filled up, picked up a McDonalds for dinner and home to eat, thaw out and relax
