Thank Goodness For Breakfast
Mrs S came off her night shift and we headed down for the monthly Veterans Breakfast. Always good to catch up with friends over good food and strong coffee. We headed home to free up Sam who went off to meet friends, Mrs S headed up to catch up on some much deserved sleep, I read the paper and readied myself for the rugby.
I haven’t seen my friend Paul since he returned from rowing the Atlantic as part of a four man team over Christmas it was really good to catch up with him.
The idea was to meet after Italy v Ireland, watch Wales v England over a few beers and be home in time for France v Scotland but things never turn out as planned.
I met Peter at the rugby club just before half time of the first match, Paul joined us for the second match, Peter left when it finished, Paul and I eventually left after the third match.
Breakfast was about the only meal I had for the day and the rugby club will no doubt be grateful for our custom but with an early start tomorrow I could do without a hangover.
