Reflecting
What a difference a year makes.
This time last year we were struggling to conceive and were waiting for my appointment for investigative surgery (still waiting for it btw).
Then this little one came into our lives and sadly left before we got to meet. My brightest star in the sky! If you've read the Marian Keyes book you'll get the reference. If not read it! It's rather heart warming.
Fast forward a year and here I am 32weeks and 4 days pregnant with two babies.
Who are approximately 3lb 15oz and 3lb 11oz and hopefully have another 3 and a bit weeks of growing left to do. So may get two 4 pounders!
Hospital appointment didn't quite go to plan yesterday. My blood pressure is a little raised but is still in the normal range and there was trace amounts of protein in my urine, but there was no concerns about that.
Twin 2 (lefty) in the other hand was very naughty during the scan and the cord blood flow (EDF) was below normal a few times, but the sonographer did manage to get a normal reading at the end, but she had to note it down for the consultant.
Was convinced that I was going to admitted and that the boys would be arriving next week. But the consultant decided that was not needed and that I had to go back for another scan Friday to recheck the Doppler. If it is the same as yesterday or back to normal we just stick to next weeks appointment if not well we'll see.
He thinks its just a positional thing as lefty is all tucked up and it was difficult to get a good section of cord! Hopefully he'll be in a better position tomorrow and they can get a good reading.
My mum is coming with me as I don't want Mr L wasting another days leave (want him to keep as many as possible for when the boys get here) so she'll get to see them.
36 weeks feels like an impossible task! If everything goes ok tomorrow we will be booking in the c section next week!!
It's all a little scary and a bit overwhelming!!
