Tiny Tuesday: Carrot
Here's my blip for Jensphotos's TT challenge today on the theme "vegetable".
I cut a very thin slice of carrot (less than a millimetre thick) and supported it in front of the macro lens, illuminating it from behind in a darkened room using a small LED light. To get the best possible definition I switched the Olympus camera to its 80 megapixel mode (which I usually forget about but which is rather handy for macros).
The whole area in the photo is only about 1cm across. I never realised what the central part of a carrot is really like!
Please view "Large" if you can to see all the detail.
