At the Falconry

I'd intended to blip an animal scene today, for the Wide Wednesday challenge, and as it was a lovely morning my Editor and I had a walk round the local Rising Sun Country Park expecting to find a suitable scene. Well, I did get some shots which would have been OK, but then we saw that they were flying some of the birds at the falconry there. That resulted in a change of plan!

Naturally I took rather a lot of shots on rapid fire - lots of which have already been deleted. I've not finished looking at the better ones as I've run out of time, and there may be some others better than this, but this will do for today's blip. (I admit that I've cloned out the leather straps dangling from its feet.)

I'm no bird expert but Google Lens seems to think this is a type of falcon, but it seems unable to say which variety.
