Derelict...
Had a great walk up at the Refuge with friends this morning - the day started very brisk cold and didn't warm up until we were almost back at the parking lot. Still, a very fun time with 31 species of birds. As expected at this time of year, there were loads of ducks, mostly Northern Pintails and Green Winged Teal. I didn't get any bird images that I loved, but I was quite happy to spot this rusted mailbox which I think makes a perfect entry for the Derelict Week challenge. See the whole mailbox in Extra. And big thanks to Marlieske for continuing to host this very fun challenge.
Dad is headed for a root canal later today - something no one likes. I know he will be glad to have it behind him.
A beautiful sunny day so I will head out to the garden later to see what I can find.
