Not the Moon …

… but the Sun as it rose into the thick fog over the mountains this morning. I can’t remember seeing anything quite like this. 

Fortunately the fog cleared and two friends (extra) and I, skied in Ovronnaz for the morning with one of my favourite mountains, the Grand Combin, looking stunning in the new snow (extra). So many people were doing ski randonnée (ski mountaineering) in the area so the pistes were really quiet with excellent conditions.

We are having a series of good weather days so I’m taking full advantage of them.
