Local time

Following on from yesterday's Blip this is the 'new' kirk which replaced the Medieval building featured yesterday. I rather like this plain 'preaching box' style of kirk. The style is common in rural Aberdeenshire but Crimond is unique in that the kirk clock has 6 minutes between the eleven and twelve on the clock face. As a result every hour measures 61 minutes and every day in Crimond is, according to the clock,  24 minutes longer than everywhere else.
When it was proposed that the mistake should be rectified there was a great local outcry and so it remains.
