Filey and Whitby

Backblipped Wednesday 19th

It was a day of contrasting weather. Rather cool and cloudy when we nipped into Filey in the morning. Fabulous beach that dogs are allowed on in the off season so Phin had a great time running into the waves.

We didn’t spend too long there and decided to head to Whitby as we’d enjoyed looking around there last year. The sun shone a bit but by the time we arrived the rain started so we got quite wet heading up to the brewery beside the Abbey. We managed to squeeze in to a table and ordered a pizza along with our drinks. The pizzas are made in the brewing room and it was hot and delicious.

We enjoyed a nice wander through the old town, the sign for argument lane caught my eye. The sun came out so we enjoyed an ice cream whilst walking towards the pier and beach. However the tide was in so we couldn’t go for a walk on the sand.

We headed back to the campsite and treated ourselves to fish and chips from the wee chip shop in the village. The portions were huge and I couldn’t finish mine.
