Dawn Redwood

Youngest asked if we could go for a woodlandish walk so we popped Shadow into the back of the car and made for Thunder & Lightning on the River Goyt.

From there we walked along Dark Lane to Pear Mill at Stockport, up into Vernon Park for a coffee in the sunshine before strolling along into Woodbank Park where the Dawn Redwood next to the old Hall had shed its foliage.The return journey found us following a path through woodland along the Goyt leading all the way back to Jim Fernley Bridge where we crossed the river and walked back to the car.

The weather was rather nice as I hope the blip shows :-)
