Day Tripper

Had a lovely trip over the tops and down into Hebden Bridge today……. for a mini blip meet, even though LoveLupins doesn’t blip these days. I didn’t realise it’s only 20 miles from where I am now living.

Met Sonja at the train station, after a bit of a faff to find somewhere to park, we had a lovely wander along the canal in the springlike sunshine, although there was a chilly wind…… but we were so busy catching up, its been a couple of years, we think, since our last get together.

We had a very nice lunch in Mooch, Beetroot & Apple soup, topped with feta & pine nuts, absolutely delish!

Of all the photos I took today, yes, with my proper camera, I liked this one best, the last one I took stood on the station waiting for Sonja’s train to arrive :-)

An easy drive back home, stopped off to collect a couple of things in town before tackling my back grass, all 8” of it. First cut in the highest setting then again on half height……. it doesnt look great, very sparse, more muddy soil than actual lawn :-/

All being well I will do the same tomorrow on the front & side lawns too!

Must admit I can feel my wrist a bit this evening…… hopefully it will settle down overnight.
