Old Green

I drove to Penarth (nr Cardiff, UK) to visit my dad who was waiting for his car to have a water leak fixed. They rang early afternoon to say the part wouldn't be there till Monday!  I took him shopping to pick up some essentials - the most important of which was his Daily Newspaper!

On the way to him, I stopped in Newport City (South Wales) to take an aerial view of The Old Green Roundabout next to Newport Castle (1327AD). It's been decided to remove it and put traffic lights back! The roundabout has some lovely murals and there's uproar in the city about the waste of money!
