Purple Queen

Another day, another vegetable blip. Today on the menu were these beans, they are purple queen dwarf beans. We got this plant as a freebie from a lady on the allotment who didn't have space for them. We didn't know what type they were and were puzzled for a long time why our bean plants weren't growing far up the canes! When you cook them they turn green, that was another surprise first time we had them. Anyway, these beans are no more. They are now in my tummy.
