A day over in Chester.

The Bridge of Sighs,  which is adjacent to North Gate, spans  the Shropshire Union Canal and linked the city gaol with the Chapel of Little St John.

The painting in the extra shows condemned prisoners being taken to the chapel in order to receive the last rites.
