Mr B’s Book Subscription

One of my pressies from Bb during lockdown (for my 60th) was a year’s book subscription from Mr B’s Bookshop in York. I’d read about it on blipper Veronica’s journal. What with lockdown, then Brexit and them having to organise things so that recipients wouldn’t have to pay customs tax, my first book didn’t arrive till November last year. I postponed December and they don’t send one in January. So here are the December, February and March books. The packaging is so lovely, I’m not going to take it off until I read them! I chose to receive a teaser every month before they send the book (rather than the complete surprise option) so you have the chance to say yay or nay. So far, their choices have been very good! You do fill in quite a long questionnaire beforehand though and they clearly use that info.

I assessed an online course into Budapest today, so was online off and on from 9 to 4. When offline, I was tidying up my notes and preparing for going online again!

Dinner was home made carrot and lentil soup from the freezer with toast and grilled cheese. Real comfort food, suiting the wet weather here.
