House Hunting

This is not the first time we have watched activity at the bird box but definitely the sharpest image of them checking the view from the front door. 

So many aspects to consider - position relative to breaking dawn for warmth, all-round vision, distance to suitable perch, distance to secure landing for the babies to fledge, distance to food sources (is that feeder replenished regularly?) are there any obvious predators?. 

We hope to pass muster on most, if not all, of these factors but will wait and see if anyone takes our box as the home to raise a family.
