Peek a boo
We went walking at Norbury Farm today as I wanted to see the lambs - there were lots of them in one field, some looked newly born. It was a pleasant walk and near the end we stopped at Wild about Coffee which is a coffee stop where they serve proper bean coffee from the back of a converted Landrover. It is very popular and today there were not just people and dogs in the queue to get coffee but also a horse!
The good news today is that Luke and Meriel's flight to Malaysia did take off, albeit a little late, so hopefully they will make their connecting flight. I am so pleased they were finally able to get away on their holiday.
The bad news is that Anna did not get into the PhD program at San Diego university that she applied for. She was expecting this as they told her at the in-person final stage of the interview that their funding has been cut due to the new government measures, and so most PhD programs have been cancelled. She was then hoping to apply for work in the academic departments if she did not get into a PhD program but a freeze has been placed on all hiring at the university too. She is now planning what her next steps will be.
Adam 's cousin (our nephew from Vancouver) is visiting San Diego for a few days so he is spending time with Adam this weekend, which is great.
Thank you for all the hearts on my entry of the misty river scene, its currently sitting at the top of the popular page which is a unique occurrence for me when it is not for a Blip anniversary.
