Welcome.

I have one month in Mozambique planned, however I headed to the airport in Dar es Salaam not knowing whether I’d be able to reach Maputo today. A strong cyclone hit northern Mozambique in the last days and it has caused flight cancellations across most of the country. Some frenzied tracking online indicated nothing was flying in the region but at the airport they insisted it was scheduled. So I put my faith in the aviation gods.

There were delays, and an extra random stop in Beira in central Mozambique, but I arrived in Maputo to be greeted by this friendly poster. It’s always great to be here.
