Signs of Spring
It’s been a mainly overcast day with some sunshine and some light rain. The warblers are now arriving from their warm winter retreats, ready to breed. The chiff chaff is especially vocal and this afternoon a black cap was feeding in the hedge at the end of the garden. In the hedgerows the blackthorn blossom is beginning to show and some of the hawthorn bushes have green buds on display.
We spent some time at the allotment this afternoon deconstructing, then reconstructing, the shelter. It had been rather bashed around by the winter storms. Now it is more robust and less aerodynamic (hopefully!).
Andy’s also been busy making a curry for dinner.
Hoping you’ve had a good day.
