Scudding clouds

Finally we have had some rain after a long sunny period. However, Bertie and I were very fortunate that it stayed dry for our walks. On our morning walk the sky at first looked like a solid layer of grey cloud but it wasn’t long before the grey began to break up and show the blue sky with bubbling white clouds above the grey. I was fascinated to see how quickly the grey layer was moving compared to the calm white clouds above and the word scudding came to mind, a word that described perfectly the movement of the lower grey clouds.
I had a lovely day when I was able to spend time on things that needed to be done without having to think about cooking a meal as we had been  invited to spend the evening with blipper Wanderers13 and John.
The meal was delicious and the time passed far too quickly as we never stopped chatting from beginning to end A real treat.
