A road trip

My son came up from Plymouth last night as he had a gig up at the Attic bar. I didn’t see him as he went straight to the venue to get organised, and I was asleep when he got in. He was doing a new project, playing back to back with another dj based in Bristol. This morning we chatted about this and that, and got ready to leave at midday. J, the other dj came over as we were dropping him off in Devon, to do a gig in Totnes that night. He’s really lovely, good company. First we went to Asda to get petrol. Then to the garden centre to buy birthday gifts, needed for tomorrow. Plus, everyone was so excited about the beautiful plants on sale - we pottered around for ages, then L rang my dil., and over the phone she decided which plants L should buy. Then J bought us all coffees and we sat outside enjoying the sunshine. Then we got to Tiverton parkway station, accidentally parked in the long stay car park and had a beautiful walk through woods and by fishing lakes to see J to the station. Eventually got down to Plymouth about 5. I enjoyed our relaxing, stopping off at places journey, not how I usually do it.
In the evening L and I walked a nice long, wiggly way round to get to the vegan restaurant to meet up with R my dil. Wonderful food and good music. Oddly for such a busy day I hardly took any photos - this was just before 7pm at the marina. Lovely to be in Plymouth again:)
