Quiet Sunday

A damp and grey day.  I finished mounting the second image for the Photo Society competition, made some bread, decided to postpone garden jobs till later in the week (when the weather forecast looks kinder).
Reading the weekend papers isn't inspiring.  Loyal Labour Party member that I still am, just about, I am in despair at the reports about the imminent 'spring statement' from the Chancellor - more cuts, more poverty, no attempt to make the tax system more progressive. More ammunition for the bigots in Reform and their allies. I know a lot of Labour MPs are unhappy, including our own locally; perhaps they'll be able to make an impact eventually.  The Joseph Rowntree Foundation has produced a useful report, though it's very depressing:
