Will I Miss It

Without a shadow of a doubt, being a CWGC volunteer comes close but the Vounder Therapy Garden at the Eden Project is hands down the ‘solo’ activity I most enjoy, by solo I mean without any of my family with me. Those that I have attended with in either the Veteran, Civilian or RHS cohorts have been warm and friendly, the instructors, same people on each course, are outstandingly good and I have enjoyed the whole learning experience.
Whilst sitting in the poly tunnel today learning about soil testing it dawned on me that in four or five weeks this will be finished and aside from attending a one day event in the summer I will be finished at the garden.
Makes me sad.
There are a couple of volunteering roles in other therapy gardens, maintaining or expanding the existing gardens, we’ll see.

The warmer weather has meant longer walks for Paddy and I, not quite ‘T’ shirt weather yet though.
