Roll With It

Different Kind Of Day

This is really part two of yesterday’s ‘Blip’.

Having completed the St Nazaire Parade yesterday it was time to head off to watch Sam play rugby. Kingsbridge, Devon, around ninety miles from Falmouth but given the roads a two hour + journey.
I arrived in the club car park to that burning clutch smell, not from my car, just that overpowering smell, I thought nothing of it and parked. I found that they had just kicked off, I didn’t recognise them at first, strange strip. Turns out that they had forgotten the strip.
The burning clutch smell, their mini bus.

The match was a bit disjointed, lots of stoppages, no continuity, turns out that half the team had bad hangovers and had been praying for a cancellation, the other half were annoyed!
Their shirts arrived during the second half which owing to a string of prolonged stoppages was finally halted.
They then put on the newly arrived clean shirts for a photo before heading to the clubhouse.

I loaded all the tackle pads, the kit and medical bags into the back of my little car before having a coffee and heading home.
Two hours later I was at the Chinese in Falmouth collecting a meal for Mrs S and I end of another long day.

So to today, with Sam away in London for the week (I dropped her at Truro Rail Station at 7:00am this morning),and Mrs S working the day consisted of housework and a walk for Paddy.
