Lofoten Islands

Weather forecast not great today.  We drove down to the oddly named village of Å (must be an answer for a pub quiz there!). It was at the end of the road down through the Lofoten Islands.

Stunning scenery and not enough places to stop and capture it.  This is Flakstadøya .  Extras show a fish drying rack.  We saw lots of these but although this was very easily accessible we felt it was probably aimed at tourists.   It was interesting to see how the delicious cod we ate last night was dried and stored.  Extra2 shows the actual fish.

In the end the weather turned out better than forecast although it was blowing a gale
