Times Square

The last day! Sunny and warm. After breakfast in Tartinery we had a walk in the Midtown and did some last shopping. We enjoyed sunshine in the Herald Square. Then we took a bus to Times Square and from there we went to the Great Central Station by subway. We ate late lunch and walked to the hotel and we picked up our luggages. We traveled to JFK by the hotel's car. We saw a blooming cherry tree!

Our flight took off at 22:45 and landed to Helsinki on Sunday 12:50.

Formerly known as Longacre Square, Times Square was renamed in 1904 after The New York Times moved its headquarters to the then newly erected Times Building, now One Times Square.
Approximately 330 000 people pass through Times Square daily, many of them tourists, while over 460 000 pedestrians walk through Times Square on its busiest days.

Thank you NYC, you were good to us. In Finland everyting is much quieter and there is much space - huge contrast to New York’s hustle and bustle!

+17°C, mostly sunny
