Still Rockin'

Kyles Panorama

I make no apologies for presenting another view from where we're staying, the view is too good to ignore. This morning the breeze had dropped a little and the water was much calmer. I put the drone up to get a raised viewpoint and I think that paid dividends enabling me to get some separation of the small islets and the hills behind.

We had smaller number of eider this morning but they made up for it later on. I counted a raft of 48 and then some more flew in. It's lovely to see them.

We decided to take a look at the Isle of Bute so we took the small CalMac ferry from Colintraive to Rhubodach, it took about 4 minutes from sailing to driving off (return ticket £20.10).  We did a circuit of the island. Mount Stuart isn't open at the moment but we stopped a few times but soon got back to Rothesay where we had lunch in a nice little cafe and I've added an extra of Rothesay Castle. The second extra is a view of our holiday cottage on the Kyles of Bute shore, which I took from Bute while waiting for the ferry back. If you look closely, you can see the cushions on the sofa that we've turned to face out towards the water.
