The Old Barn

A short trip out today to Buckland Abbey. A few of the visitors in the grounds this morning commented on how quiet and peaceful it was. The monks who originally chose this place for their monastery were wise and astute in their choice. 
In the stillness and the warm, Spring sunshine it was not difficult to imagine how it might once have been, and feel the spirits of the past. My blip photo shows a section of one of the doorways to the Great Barn.
