Teddington Lock footbridge…refurbished
After Pilates and coffee with the usual group a friend came over and we did a bit of a walk around part of Teddington near the Lock. She does not know the area well and was interested in the history of the boat building etc near the Lock. At last the footbridge refurbishment has been completed…it has taken over a year. It was really quite shabby so good to see everything has been painted nicely and the surfaces and some of the steps replaced.
We had lunch in Cote and then my friend came with me to collect the twins and take them to their swimming lesson in the pool of the prep school where here son used to go. Most of the school has been rebuilt since then and the building housing the pool too was replaced in 1999 and opened by Gary Linneker..maybe he had a child at the school? He does live locally in Barnes..
