Hunda
The boys and some friends headed off to Hunda yesterday after the show to camp overnight. A perfect evening for it. Warm, dry, a light breeze to keep the midgies away and a stunning sunset which even a bunch of teenager boys were impressed by.
Hunda is a small uninhabited island (expect for the sheep) just off the West side of Burray. It's reached by crossing over the 5th Churchill barrier and feels very isolated but has the bonus of not being far from home so doesn't take long to get there.
The lads set of with enough provisions to last a week - which were consumed in one night. I doubt there was much sleep happening and a game of Light Strike seems to have lasted into the wee small hours and ranged far and wide over the island. All in all, they seem to have had a great night.
Got a call around mid-day today to say that was them packing up camp and asked if I would come and pick them up. Tired and very grubby they cam home, ate everything in the fridge and then snoozed most of the afternoon away.
