A frustrating sort of day with lots of hanging about. Yesterday Jane bought a new phone, today it was switched over by the network. All went well until she received or made a call, no one could hear her. So to add to it all we had to go to Southampton where the folks at Apple changed it without a quibble. Second phone, same as the first. Astonished Apple folk saying "this doesn't happen" or "this has never happened before" and "it must be something else". So they tried different sim card and a few other things and eventually a third phone. It works.
