That Tolkien Door Again

It's been a bit of a medical day today.

This morning I spent about an hour in phone calls trying to get a review appointment for mrsfb's glaucoma. It's 6 months overdue now. Long story short - she is on the list, but along with 'thousands of others', and the hospital are not fixing any appointments as there are hardly any staff now. So we have had to make an appointment at the opticians to have her pressures and field of vision checked out. We will have to pay for that.

This afternoon though I had to take her to the dentist as she has been getting pain where she had a filling at the start of the month. Another long story short - the dentist thinks it is the tooth next to the one he filled which is the problem, requiring a root canal filling and a crown. We have to pay for that too, rather more than an eye test.

At least as we were in Stow I was able to get this shot of St Edwards Church, with the natural yew frame around the door for Wide Wednesday. While I was waiting for mrsfb the dentist saw me looking at the images on my camera and remembered I had told him about blipfoto on our last visit. As we chatted he said he mainly took photos of teeth, with a macro lens and a ring flash. Of course he then insisted on showing me some of his images. They were very sharp - the pics, not the teeth.

In other news we had an LPG delivery this morning. More expense!

Camera club this evening, the Northleach one, a presentation about Botswana. That's three nights in a row I have deserted mrsfb for camera stuff.
