For a long time I’ve been intending to do the Islands cruise from Bowness. A 45 minute circular around the islands about half way down Windermere. I’ve kept forgetting.

Ideally I needed a day during low season when I could get a half price ‘locals’ ticket and one when I could guarantee a free parking space. Today was it.

Freezing chilly on the top deck but I survived. The lower enclosed area would have been no good for photos. An interesting commentary and I learned a few things.
