Bollards

Penguin bollards in Redcar.

We saw a news item a few days ago saying one of the penguins at Redcar had been vandalised.

As we called in to Redcar today I went to have a look and the one that has been vandalised is the smaller one with its back to you. Its beak and eyes were ‘knocked off’ (?). I say knocked off because I’m not sure how it could have been done unless you had a coal hammer with you or something similar as they are pretty substantial penguins and look to be well made.

Anyway, it’s been partially repaired already - see extra.

Redcar was quite busy along the sea front. Mid week, not school holidays, but nice weather…..
