Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

A new blonde look?

I was very sluggish this morning. I could hardly get through my chair yoga - lots of arms and legs waving about today. But I did enjoy my rolled oats, even though it was rather a large bowlfull.

Archie was going off with his friends, Amanda and John, which was GREAT, because we wanted to go to the city dump. I walked across with him but I couldn't get the speed and energy levels up that I have been managing of late. It may be a blip, or it may be the new pills... Hopefully back to normal tomorrow.

While I was sitting on a bench waiting for the others, I was chatting to an American woman who stopped to ask about Archie. Her dog had just died (well, put down) last week before she came on holiday, so she was very attracted to any dogs, Archie was sitting up on the bench beside me (or to be more accurate, beside the treats) and she sat with us for a while before the others arrived. She's spending six days in Edinburgh.

The car was all packed up and ready, so we were a wee bit early at the dump, but they don't mind. It feels so good to get rid of it all!

On the way home, we suddenly decided to turn into the big shopping centre. I haven't been there for absolutely ages. JR wanted to show me the cut price shoe shop. I got a pair of Skechers. They felt like slippers! But my toe is sore now...

This shoe shop, weirdly, also sold wigs! JR was tempted with the blonde one...

When the others came home we had a coffee and chat. Archie got a B- on his report card today. I won't repeat here what he did, he'd be embarrassed.

Extra by Amanda: Is that a guilty look, Archie??
