Høgenibba

Lack of snow had us trying to find a way of driving as high as possible, to get to the snow line at 700m.
Drove to  Hornindal Skisenter, which was closed but at least meant we could put skis on at the car and skin up a thin piste beside the one and only lift, to get to the top of a hill called Høgenibba, 1191m. Set off in the rain, but there was some nice snow higher up, though the light wasn't great, as evident in today's blip. On the way down A, a very good skier, hit a patch of heather just under the surface and did a summersault. He was fine, but his skis came off and went hurtling down the mountain in the soft snow. We spent an hour looking for them, and fortunately found them eventually.
