Here Comes the Rain

A pleasant and quite warm morning - a high of 82F - and of late this afternoon the temperature is dropping (now at 5:30 pm it is 68F) with threats of thunderstorms. So far it's just intermittent sprinkles.

I spent the morning at the local community college where I teach. I take my students on field trips to various local personal gardens, and the owner of one of them came to meet me today to walk the campus and see the plants. We had a great, two hour walk! Along the way we found this fabulous magnolia in full blossom.

A quick grocery shopping and back home. I thought that I was suffering from bad allergies - the pollen around her has gone bonkers with the warm weather - but I'm beginning to accept that it may be a cold even though I don't feel cold-y. Usually I can blame the grandchildren for this, but not this time. I don't know anyone who is sick, so, hmm. Still hoping that it will disappear overnight ;-)
