Blues Point (more history)

I blipped a similar shot nearly 3 years ago but it was a pretty dodgy effort and some landscaping has been carried out since then so here we are at Blues Point again with some more history (sorry).
Don’t worry about the structures over the back, the real interest is in the foreground - it’s the original loading ramp of the vehicular ferry in use before 1932 and the opening of the SHB.
The extra is an interesting historical photo taken at this spot and includes some more trivia.
For those still awake, this was also the location of a story related to me by my father. In the 1920s my grandfather was one of very few doctors north of the harbour and so was entitled to a special pass enabling him to jump the queue for the ferry. On weekends when he was taking my grandmother and a car full of disorderly children for an outing, he refused to use the pass and queued up with everybody else. My grandmother vehemently disagreed with this policy and according to my father, there was a major marital disturbance each time they crossed the harbour!!
