Walk to the Catacombs Cimitero dei Cappuccini

We walked through town to the Catacombs today. G had some issues so we took it slowly. The catacombs themselves were unusual. They were corridors lined with skeletons, fully clothed, and in a standing position. It wasn't at all scary,  but instead made us feel a sense of reverence.  I have never seen anything like it before. 

We then made our way back into town for cake for lunch - a traditional pastry in my case - Very tasty. 

For our evening meal we ventured down a side street to find a pasta restaurant. Ice cream to follow. Delicious. The rain came on whist we were there Aperol to shelter in the bar then no hanging about.
